Theo accepts a small number of commissions each year. He's most interested in projects that allow time — the chance to return to a place or a group of people over days or weeks, rather than a single hurried shoot.

What he photographs

  • Documentary — organisations, workplaces and communities, photographed over time
  • Portraits — editorial portraits for publications, books and annual reports
  • Architecture — buildings and interiors, particularly for architects, heritage organisations and publications
  • Editorial — long-form photo stories for magazines and books

How it works

  1. Get in touch with a short description of the project, timing and budget.
  2. A conversation. If it looks like a good fit, Theo will arrange a call to discuss the project in more detail.
  3. A proposal covering approach, schedule, deliverables, usage rights and fees.
  4. The work. Theo prefers to visit before photographing, wherever possible.
  5. Delivery of an edited set of high-resolution files, with prints available on request.

Availability

Commissions are typically booked two to four months in advance. Theo does not photograph weddings or events.
